LiMo Foundation Unveils First LiMo Handsets

The first set of handsets based on the LiMo Platform made their debut at the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The LiMo Platform is the mobile Linux distribution produced by the LiMo Foundation. The handsets, 18 in total, are from LG Electronics, Motorola, NEC, Panasonic Mobile Communications, Samsung, Purple Labs, and Aplix.

From Motorola comes these models: MOTO U9, MOTO Z6w, MOTOROKR Z6, RAZR2 V8, RAZR2 V8 Luxury Edition and MOTOROKR E8.

From NEC: NTT DoCoMo FOMA N905i, FOMA N905″mu”, FOMA N705i and FOMA N705″mu”.

From Panasonic Mobile Communications: NTT DoCoMo FOMA P905i, FOMA P905iTV, FOMA P705i and FOMA P705″mu”.

From Samsung: SGH-i800

From LG Electronics: LG LiMo Phone reference platform and prototype

From Aplix: The OPAL(m) reference platform and prototype

From Purple Labs: Purple Magic reference platform and prototype.
